Yes — 5.5 quarts is the ideal capacity for no-knead and sourdough bread. The heavy cast iron preheats evenly and traps steam from the dough, producing the crackling crust and open crumb bakers want. Preheat the empty pot in the oven, load your scored loaf, cover with the dimpled lid, and bake.
Yes — the enameled cast iron body and lid handle high oven temperatures for bread baking, braising, and roasting, going seamlessly from stovetop searing to oven finishing.
Preheat the pot with your oven, turn out your proofed loaf onto parchment, lower it into the hot pot, cover, and bake covered then uncovered to develop color. The cast iron's heat retention delivers professional-level oven spring at home.
Hand wash with warm water, mild soap, and a soft sponge. No seasoning needed — the enamel interior resists rust and staining. Avoid dishwashers, abrasives, and thermal shock.

Garnet and gold, best pot in my cabinet.
The Seminoles knob is beautifully engraved and the cast iron performs flawlessly. My gumbo has never been better.
Both my husband and I are FSU grads, so this was an easy anniversary gift decision. The garnet enamel is rich and glossy, and the laser-engraved Seminoles logo on the knob is a detail guests always notice. I've made red beans and rice, braised short ribs, and baked sourdough in it, all with even heating and no sticking. It cleans up with just warm water and a soft sponge. At $94.90 down from $299, it competes with brands costing three times as much. We're thoroughly impressed and slightly obsessed.
The color is gorgeous and it cooks evenly across every burner I've tried. Only note is that it's heavy, which is normal for cast iron but worth mentioning.
The pot performs well and the team branding is first class. Mine had some minor imperfections in the enamel near the base. Nothing that affects cooking, but I noticed.
Brought this to a covered tailgate for jambalaya and it was the star of the parking lot. Go Noles and go buy this pot.
I'll be honest, I only bought it for the logo. Turns out it braises better than the fancy pot it replaced. Great value at this sale price.
The lid rattles a bit when simmering and steam escapes more than I'd like for braising. The pot heats evenly, but the fit issues are annoying. May exchange it.
Simmered sauce for five hours and it never scorched. Cleanup was a two-minute rinse. This thing is a workhorse with Seminoles pride baked in.
Heats evenly, looks fantastic, and the engraved knob hasn't dulled after months of use. Would recommend to any FSU family.
I expected a novelty pot and got a serious piece of cookware. The hand-enameled finish is flawless and the heat retention is superb.
Roasted a whole chicken and vegetables in this for the holidays. Even browning, juicy results, and it went straight from oven to table looking beautiful.
