These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of honededge.shop (the "Site"), operated by Honed Edge Cutlery. By browsing, purchasing, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. About This Store and Its Operator

Honed Edge Cutlery is an independent, third-party specialist retailer of knives, shears, and cutting tools from Made In, Tramontina, Global, and Baker's Secret. The customer-facing storefront operates at honededge.shop.

The Site is operated by Maplewood Commerce Group LLC, a United States-registered retail operations company. Maplewood Commerce Group LLC handles business administration, order fulfillment oversight, and service delivery on behalf of the storefront. Honed Edge Cutlery remains the name and domain through which customers interact with the store. Correspondence should be directed to the Site's support channels, not to any manufacturer or other external domain.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding contracts to purchase from the Site. Orders must be placed by individuals acting in their own capacity or on behalf of a business they are authorized to represent.

Certain features may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate, current contact and shipping information. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity.

3. Site Use and Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Interfere with the Site's operation, security, or infrastructure, including through automated scraping, denial-of-service activity, or unauthorized access attempts.
• Misrepresent your identity, payment details, or shipping information.
• Resell products purchased through fraudulent means, or place orders you do not intend to complete.
• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute Site content, imagery, or product descriptions without permission.
• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

We may refuse service, cancel orders, or restrict access if we reasonably determine these rules have been breached.

4. Catalog Information

The Site carries a curated selection of approximately 1,040 items across the Made In, Tramontina, Global, and Baker's Secret lines. We work to ensure each product listing is accurate, with correct specifications, manufacturer references, imagery, and honest condition and fit descriptions. Listings are reviewed before publication, and incoming stock is inspected for packaging integrity, correct labeling, and physical condition, with spot checks confirming that edge finish, fit, and finish match the manufacturer's stated specifications.

Despite our care, listings may occasionally contain errors or become outdated. Colors shown on screen may vary slightly from the actual product. If a listing is materially incorrect, we will correct it and, where it affects an order, contact you before proceeding.

5. Pricing and Promotions

All prices are stated in U.S. dollars (USD). Prices vary between items and over time because manufacturer wholesale terms, freight costs, stock cycles, and promotional eligibility differ by product and season. A difference in price reflects real supply and timing factors, not a difference in authenticity or grade.

Our pricing is enabled by a structurally lean operating model: we buy through authorized distribution channels in consolidated volumes, maintain a focused single-category catalog without the overhead of unrelated general merchandise, and run a small, digital-first storefront operation. Those savings are reflected in our prices rather than absorbed as margin padding.

Promotions and coupon campaigns are funded from our marketing budget and distributor trade allowances — never by hidden fees, inflated base prices, or inferior stock. Every unit we sell, at any price or discount level, comes through the same sourcing channels and passes the same quality checks; a discounted item is identical in specification and handling to a full-price one.

Coupon Terms

Current offer: 10% off eligible orders with code EDGE10. Apply EDGE10 at checkout for 10% off eligible items. Coupon eligibility follows checkout rules; codes cannot be combined with other offers unless stated, cannot be applied retroactively to completed orders, and hold no cash value.

6. Orders

Your order is an offer to purchase. Acceptance occurs when we confirm the order by email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, in whole or in part, for reasons including pricing or listing errors, suspected fraud, stock unavailability, or shipping restrictions. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the full amount to your original payment method.

7. Payment

We accept credit cards and PayPal. Payment is charged at the time of order confirmation unless otherwise stated at checkout. You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided. Where a payment fails or is disputed, we may suspend fulfillment until the matter is resolved.

8. Shipping

Free shipping on orders over $45.00. Standard shipping is $8.00. Shipping costs and options are shown at checkout before you complete your purchase. Delivery timelines vary by destination and carrier and are estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you upon our delivery of the order to the carrier.

9. Returns and Refunds

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Items should be returned in their original condition and, where possible, original packaging. We encourage you to inspect items on arrival — checking packaging, manufacturer markings, and physical condition — and to raise any concern within this 30-day return window.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Return shipping responsibility and any exclusions (such as items damaged through misuse) are described in our Return Policy. Refund timing depends on your payment provider.

10. Warranty

Warranty coverage follows the product information and support guidance for each item. Manufacturer warranties, where offered, are administered by the respective manufacturer; we will assist you in contacting the appropriate party. Warranty coverage does not extend to damage from misuse, improper sharpening or storage, or normal wear.

11. Authenticity and Quality Commitment

We guarantee every item sold is a genuine product of the manufacturer named on its listing. All products are sourced exclusively through authorized or verified distribution channels for each manufacturer we carry; we never acquire through gray-market liquidators or untraceable third parties.

How to Raise an Authenticity or Quality Concern

Email support@honededge.shop with:

• Your order number from the purchase confirmation
• Clear photographs of the item, its packaging, and any manufacturer markings
• A brief written description of the concern
• Your contact email for follow-up

Review Process and Remedy

• A quality assurance specialist logs the claim and acknowledges receipt within one business day.
• The claim is reviewed against our sourcing records and, where needed, verified with the manufacturer's distribution documentation.
• You receive a written determination with reasoning, typically within five business days.
• Substantiated claims proceed directly to remedy without further requirements from you.

A substantiated authenticity concern results in a full refund of the item price and applicable return shipping, plus a documented review of the affected sourcing batch. We commit to a written outcome on every claim, a defined remedy for substantiated claims, and no requirement that customers argue their case repeatedly to reach resolution. If any item is shown to be inauthentic, we make it right without quibbling.

12. Intellectual Property

The Site's content — including text, imagery, layout, and design — is owned by or licensed to Honed Edge Cutlery and its operating company and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. Brand names and trademarks of Made In, Tramontina, Global, and Baker's Secret remain the property of their respective owners; their appearance on the Site denotes the products we resell, not any claim of ownership or affiliation.

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Site available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or causes beyond our reasonable control. Product availability changes with stock cycles and may vary between visits.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its contents are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free or uninterrupted. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any manufacturer warranty accompanying a product.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Honed Edge Cutlery and Maplewood Commerce Group LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and applicable U.S. federal law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction located in Oregon, unless applicable law grants you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms; orders already confirmed remain governed by the Terms in effect at the time of confirmation.

Our shared service window is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, excluding major US holidays. We acknowledge inquiries within one business day during the service window; messages received outside those hours are queued and answered in order of receipt at the start of the next business day. Unresolved general inquiries are escalated to the after-sales department lead.

For privacy questions, data access or deletion requests, terms-of-use questions, and formal correspondence, email legal-privacy@honededge.shop. Please include your full name and registered email, the nature of your request, and a reference to any specific policy section. We respond within two business days; complex requests may escalate to the operating company's compliance contact.
