You can feel the difference the moment you pick these up. The chef knife has that perfect French balance point, the nakiri absolutely flies through herbs and vegetables, and the bread knife is long enough for my widest loaves. Everything arrived blistering sharp and has held its edge for months. The universal block is a handsome addition to my counter and doesn't trap crumbs like slotted blocks do. This is the last set I expect to buy for a long time.

I've been cooking Sunday dinners for the family for forty years and finally treated myself. These knives are a joy — light enough for my hands but substantial, and the nakiri makes dicing onions painless for my arthritic knuckles. The block keeps everything safe and within reach. My daughter-in-law immediately ordered a set for herself.

Covers every daily task with zero filler. The black handles look fantastic in the block and the steel quality is evident after the first tomato test. Sharpening has been minimal over four months. For a fully forged French set at this price, nothing else comes close.

No complaints about the blades — sharp, balanced, and the bread knife is a monster. I went back and forth between this and the drawer organizer version and ultimately I like having the knives visible and accessible. Just know the block does claim some counter real estate. Happy overall.

Compared this against several sets in the same range and Made In came out ahead on steel and construction. The chef knife quickly became my daily driver and the paring knife is precise for detail work. Four stars because I'd love a larger bolster-free option on the chef knife, but that's a preference thing. Coupon made it an easy call.

The knives deserve five stars — sharp, comfortable, clearly well forged. The universal block, however, feels lighter and cheaper than I expected for the overall price. It does its job holding the knives securely, but it's the weak link in an otherwise great package.

These are quality knives and cut beautifully. Fully forged means real weight though, and after long prep sessions my hand notices. If you're used to stamped lightweight knives there's an adjustment period. Quality is not in question, just ergonomics for smaller hands.

The knives are genuinely excellent — no issues with sharpness or build. Unfortunately the block showed up with a crack along one corner and wobbles on the counter. Waiting on a replacement. Frustrating experience for a gift purchase, though the knives themselves might warrant a better rating once resolved.
