The magnet grips the flat of the blade firmly and it's satisfying to see the whole collection displayed. Just be mindful when pulling knives off — the tips can clang against the bar if you're careless. Took a week to develop the right technique. Very happy otherwise.
The bar itself is well made and the magnet is strong. The wall anchors included felt cheap though, and I ended up using my own screws to get it mounted securely into studs. Works beautifully now, but the install was more frustrating than it should have been.
