Carbon steel is one of the most durable pan materials available – it withstands extreme temperatures for flawless searing and transitions from stovetop to oven with ease. The Nitro Carbonized finish supports natural seasoning development.
Wash and dry the wok, heat it until it just smokes, add a thin layer of high-smoke-point oil, and swirl to coat. Heat until the oil darkens, wipe excess, and repeat 2–3 times. Cook oily foods early to build the patina. A well-seasoned wok develops a natural nonstick surface.
Carbon steel rusts when left wet. Always dry immediately after washing, wipe with a thin oil film before storing, and never soak – re-season if rust appears.
Preheat the wok fully, add oil, cook aromatics, then add proteins and vegetables in stages, tossing constantly – the 12.5-inch wide profile keeps ingredients in contact with high heat for proper wok hei.
Works on gas, electric, and ceramic glass cooktops and is oven-safe for finishing dishes; flat-bottom design sits securely on standard burners. Check packaging for induction compatibility details.
Versus cast iron woks, carbon steel is lighter and heats faster; versus nonstick, it tolerates far higher heat and lasts decades when seasoned. At $27.48, it undercuts premium carbon steel brands by half.
Save 50% at $27.48 versus $54.95, stack coupon EDGE10 for an extra 10% off, and add items to reach the $45 free-shipping threshold.

Followed the seasoning instructions and this wok has developed a gorgeous dark patina in just a couple months. Fried rice, kung pao chicken, seared steak, all come out with that wok hei flavor I could never get in a regular pan. The carbonized finish made initial seasoning way easier than my old wok.
Excellent heat response on my gas burner and the flat bottom sits nicely on the grate. Just remember it needs oiling after each wash or it will rust. That's carbon steel life.
Best $27 I've spent on cookware. Stir fry heaven.
Honestly shocked at the quality here. The steel is thick enough to hold heat but still responsive, the handle stays put, and after proper seasoning absolutely nothing sticks. I make weekly stir fry for a family of four and this is the workhorse of my kitchen now. My old wok cost three times as much and performed worse.
The wok itself seems well made. Took me a few tries to get the seasoning right, and I scorched my first batch of veggies because it heats up so fast. Now that I've adjusted, I like it.
Was worried the flat bottom wouldn't work on my electric range but it makes great contact and heats evenly. Nitro carbonized finish took seasoning well. Would give 5 stars if it came with a lid for steaming dumplings.
I've been cooking Chinese food for fifty years and this wok performs like the ones I grew up with. The carbon steel gives vegetables that smoky char you simply can't fake. Light enough for me to handle comfortably even at my age.
Mine had a small rust spot near the rim out of the box. I scrubbed and reseasoned it and it works okay now, but disappointing quality control.
Been trying to replicate takeout-style fried rice at home for years. This wok finally did it. Gets screaming hot, food moves fast and clean, and cleanup is quick if you wipe and oil while warm. Told all my foodie friends about it.
Perfect for someone getting into stir frying without dropping serious money. Sturdy construction and it heats up fast. Needs regular seasoning maintenance but that's expected with carbon steel.
