Tramontina Covered Stainless Steel Stock Pot with Lid

I make huge batches of chicken noodle and split pea soup all winter and this pot handles it all. Stainless interior doesn't react with tomato-based recipes, and the lid seats snugly to trap heat. Works on my induction cooktop with no issues and it's oven safe so I can finish braises in it too. Cleaned up shining after my first chili session. Genuinely shocked at the quality for under $25.

Thick base, no hot spots, boils water fast even on induction. The handles stay cooler than expected on the stovetop. This is the pot I reach for weekly.

Not as heavy as my All-Clad but for pasta water, corn on the cob, and stocks it does everything. Lid fits well. Minor scorching on the exterior once, came off with Bar Keepers Friend. Good value.

It works but the sidewalls are noticeably thinner than premium stock pots, so you need to stir more to avoid scorching on high heat. For simmering and boiling it's totally fine. You get what you pay for, and at half off it's still reasonable.

Big enough for a full water bath canning load of quart jars. Held a rolling boil steadily on my gas burner. The wide handles make lifting with jar grabbers easy. Stock pot shopping stress over.

Bought this for my son's first apartment. It's simple, durable, induction compatible for whatever stove he ends up with, and the price was right. He's already made ramen for eight, apparently.

Out of the box the knob on the lid wobbled and one screw was missing. Pot itself seems okay. Tightened what I could but it still feels flimsy up top. Quality control needs work.

My old stock pot finally rusted through at the rim. This Tramontina feels every bit as solid, maybe better. Welded handles instead of rivets look cleaner and there's no gap to trap gunk. Boiled forty ears of corn for the family reunion with zero problems.

Stainless wipes clean even after tomato soup, which used to stain my old pot. Capacity is generous without being unwieldy in a standard cabinet. Only wish it came with etched capacity markings inside. Happy overall.
