The Global MinoSharp 220/GB – 2-Stage Sharpener in Grey/Black is the safe, easy way to restore razor edges to your Global knives. Using whetstone sharpening wheels — a white coarse grit wheel for dull blades and a pink medium grit wheel for sharpening and polishing — it delivers sharp 18-degree edges in seconds. Best for Global knife owners and any home cook with two-sided knives, it is priced at $29.98, down from $59.95 — a 50% discount. Buy online now and stack coupon EDGE10 for an extra 10% off.
1. Place the sharpener on a flat surface — non-slip feet keep it stable. 2. For very dull blades, start with the white coarse wheel: insert the knife heel-first and pull toward you with light pressure, repeating 5–10 strokes. 3. Switch to the pink medium wheel and repeat 5–10 strokes to sharpen and polish the edge to 18 degrees. 4. Wipe the blade clean. The clear cover lets you see the wheels while protecting your hands from them. Pull straight back — no angling required, the wheels set the angle.
Suitable for all knives except those sharpened on one side only — including chef knives, damascus knives, santoku knives, butcher knives, boning knives, and chopping knives. Note: single-bevel traditional Japanese knives are not compatible.
Weekly touch-ups on chef and santoku knives, restoring very dull blades with the coarse stage first, polishing an already-sharp edge with the medium stage alone, and keeping a full kitchen knife drawer performing like new.
At $29.98 vs. $59.95 you save 50%. Coupon EDGE10 takes another 10% off, and orders over $45.00 ship free — pair it with a Global knife or Made In blade to qualify. Cheaper than professional sharpening services after just a few uses, this sharpener pays for itself.
Versus pull-through carbide sharpeners, the MinoSharp's whetstone wheels remove less metal and preserve blade life. Versus whetstone hand sharpening, it requires zero skill while producing the same 18-degree Global factory edge. Compared with single-stage sharpeners, the two-stage coarse/medium system handles both dull restoration and fine polishing.
Two whetstone wheels (coarse white, medium pink) restore dull knives to a polished 18-degree edge without skill

No — use the coarse white wheel only for very dull blades; for regular touch-ups, the pink medium wheel alone restores sharpness and polish.
Was nervous about using anything other than a whetstone on my Globals, but this sharpener is made by Global and it shows. The 18-degree angle guide means I can't mess it up, and after a few passes through both wheels my chef's knife shaved paper. Fast, clean, foolproof.
Exactly what I needed. Simple and effective.
Restored a scary-dull edge on my Global chef's knife in about a minute and it's easily sharp enough for daily cooking. The only minor issue is that small paring knives sit a bit awkwardly in the slots. For larger knives it's five stars all the way.
It does sharpen and the whetstone wheels feel higher quality than pull-through sharpeners I've used before. My knives get decently sharp, though not quite the scary edge I get from a proper stone session. For quick touch-ups between stone work, it's fine.
First one worked so well I ordered another. My mother is 72 and has never managed a whetstone, and now she keeps her knives sharp without help. The water reservoir makes it mess-free. Half price with the coupon was a steal.
