For years my knives lived loose in a drawer, which dulled them and occasionally bit me. This block solved both problems. It's heavier than I expected in a good way, doesn't slide around when I pull a knife, and the matte black finish wipes clean easily. Holds my whole Global collection plus kitchen shears. Should have bought this years ago.

It holds my knives securely and looks decent. Two things hold it back from five stars: the plastic feels a bit less premium than the price suggested, and one slot is slightly tight for a wider santoku. No regrets overall, just manage expectations.

Bought this after getting my first Global chef's knife and wanted proper storage instead of a magnetic strip. It does exactly what it promises: nine secure slots plus the steel slot, sturdy base, no wobble. The black plastic looks better in person than in the photos. Removing half a star only because I'd love a slightly wider gap between slots for faster grab-and-go during dinner rush.
