Braised short ribs, chicken noodle soup, a whole batch of chili — this thing does it all. No hot spots, even on my electric coil stove. The lid seats nicely and keeps moisture in. At $27 it's honestly underpriced.

Thick tri-ply base, comfortable handles, tight lid. Sear then simmer, no problem. Better than pots I've paid three times as much for.

I make a big pot of soup every Sunday and this Dutch oven has become the star of my kitchen. Heats evenly, cleans up well even after browning, and the 5 quart size is perfect for family meals with leftovers. The stainless still looks brand new after two months.

Even heating and the capacity is right for my family of four. The main downside is the handles heat up quickly so keep a mitt nearby. Also food needs a good soak sometimes after searing. Still a solid buy for the price.

At my age I've owned a lot of pots and this one holds its own. Nice and heavy in the good way, easy to clean, and the glass? No, it's steel lid fits just right. Makes my beef barley soup just like always.

The pot itself is fine, heats evenly and all that. But the lid wobbles and doesn't sit flush on mine, so steam escapes while braising. Might be a QC miss on my unit. Docking stars for that.
