The navy rim is gorgeous and the porcelain browns the bottom crust beautifully. No more soggy bottoms. This is the last pie dish I'll ever need to buy.
Beautiful craftsmanship, bakes evenly, and cleans up in seconds. The 650°F rating means I can start a quiche frozen and pop it straight in the oven without a second thought.
Baked three pies since it arrived and the crusts have all been outstanding. My only note is that I keep it out of the dishwasher just to preserve the finish — not a dealbreaker at all.
Gorgeous dish. Bakes perfectly.
I've been using the same cheap ceramic dish for twenty years and always wondered why my crusts never turned out right. One pie in this Made In dish and I finally understood — even browning, crisp bottom, and it came out of the oven looking like something from a magazine. My mother-in-law asked where I bought it before she even tasted the pie. The navy rim photographs beautifully too, which matters more than I expected.
Quality is clearly excellent and the porcelain feels substantial in the hand. My complaint is purely about dimensions — if you're a deep-dish apple person like me, the fillings bubble over the edge more than I'd like. For standard pies it's flawless.
Assembled a chicken pot pie the night before, froze it, and went straight into a hot oven the next evening. Zero cracking, zero drama. The rim gives you a good grip with oven mitts on, which I appreciate.
Dish arrived with a small chip on the rim. Bakes well enough but I expected better packaging for the price point. Honed Edge did offer a partial refund, so credit there.
Bought this for my daughter when she moved into her first apartment. She calls me after every pie she makes to tell me how proud of it she is. The weight and finish really do feel like the old French porcelain my own mother used. Worth the sale price many times over.
Transferred from a basic store-brand dish and the difference in crust quality is noticeable. Handles are actually useful for pulling it out of the oven. Would love a matching 10-inch version someday.
