After two decades of warped, scratched pans I invested in this Made In set during a sale. The 5-ply construction heats evenly — no more hot spots burning garlic in the center of the pan while the edges stay raw. Was nervous about switching to induction, but these are fully compatible and heat fast and even. The handles stay reasonably cool and the pans feel solid without being back-breakingly heavy.
Quality is genuinely top notch — thick 5-ply walls, mirror finish, well-fitted lids. Took me a few tries to master the heat management for eggs, but once you preheat properly and use enough fat, nothing sticks. Only reason it's not 5 stars: the stock pot lid doesn't sit quite as flush as I'd like.
Hard to find Italian-made 5-ply at this level for under a few hundred dollars. The skillet is my daily driver now. Would have liked a second smaller saucepan in the set, but the six pieces cover most cooking.
Build quality is excellent and they cook beautifully. But the 5-ply construction makes the stock pot genuinely heavy, and my wife struggles with it full of water. If you have wrist issues, consider that. Otherwise very happy.
I own a couple of All-Clad pieces and honestly these hold their own or beat them. The handle shape is more comfortable and the pans are slightly thicker. At this sale price it wasn't even a contest.
The pans cook fine, but two of them developed rainbow discoloration and white spots despite following the care instructions — no high heat, hand washing only. Customer service suggested a cleaner that helped some, but for cookware at this price point I expected it to stay pristine longer.
Steak night has been transformed. The frying pans get a proper hard sear and release the fond cleanly for pan sauce. Deglaze, scrape, done. These are the real deal.
Six months in and no complaints worth mentioning. Even heating, solid rivets, no warping after years of thermal shocks I probably shouldn't subject them to. The saucepan pour edges could be better, but that's a minor gripe on an otherwise excellent set.
