I bought this mostly for the cheese board, but the cake slicer function is a genuine bonus. It cut through a layered birthday cake without dragging the frosting everywhere. Stainless steel feels solid, not flimsy like some gimmicky gadgets. Easy to wash, easy to store, easy to recommend.

For $10 this is honestly hard to beat. The non-slip grip actually helps when my hands are wet, and the blade edge glides through medium-hard cheeses like gouda without much effort. It struggled slightly with a really aged cheddar, but nothing that bothers me. Wish I'd picked up two.

Works fine for softer cheeses and serving. Took me a few tries to get clean slices on hard cheese.

I host a monthly get-together and this little shovel has become the star of my charcuterie spreads. Guests always ask about it! The edge is sharp enough for a clean cut but safe enough that I'm not nervous about the grandkids being around it. Rinses clean in seconds.

I'm an avid home baker and I mainly wanted this as a cake server, with the cheese function as a nice extra. Both work well. The handle balance is good and it doesn't bend under a heavy slice of cake. Only note: it's smaller than I pictured, so check the dimensions first.
