Preheat the empty pan over medium heat 4-5 minutes, oil the food (not the ridges) lightly, and place proteins down without moving them 2-3 minutes for deep sear marks, then rotate 90 degrees for crosshatch and finish to temperature. Cast iron's heat retention keeps the ridges hot for consistent char.
No. The enamel coating eliminates seasoning - a key advantage over bare cast iron grill pans. Just cook, cool, and clean.
Cast iron is magnetic, so this Bestow grill pan is induction compatible as well as gas, electric, and ceramic ready - a true all-cooktop performer.
Clean ridges with a stiff nylon brush and warm soapy water while the pan is still slightly warm. Avoid the dishwasher - hand washing protects the enamel and preserves appearance.

Year-round steak nights, chicken thighs, burgers, panini, asparagus, and halloumi - all with authentic grill ridges.
Bare cast iron pans demand seasoning and can rust; this enameled version skips that maintenance. Cheaper aluminum grill pans lose heat at the ridges, weakening sear quality.
Apply EDGE10 for 10% more off and pair with other Tramontina items to clear the $45 free-shipping threshold.

Sears a ribeye better than my outdoor grill ever did. Those gorgeous grill marks, a nice crust, and no propane tanks. Best $27 I've spent on cookware in years.
This pan gets screaming hot and holds its temperature even with two burgers on it. The ridges leave perfect sear lines and the fat drains away from the meat. Burgers, chicken, asparagus — everything comes out with that charred flavor I used to only get at restaurants.
It's cast iron so obviously heavy — that's part of the deal. Preheats evenly, cleans up fine with a stiff brush, and the enamel surface seems durable. Only wish the pour spouts were a bit deeper, but minor.
Live in Minnesota and this has saved my sanity. Grilled chicken and veggie skewers all through January. Heats evenly, pretty color, great price.
The searing performance is genuinely good. But you absolutely need to run the range hood on high — it smokes a lot when cooking burgers. Fine for me but if you have a sensitive smoke detector like mine, plan accordingly.
No complaints about how it cooks, but at my age lifting this pan to clean it is genuinely difficult. I should have thought about the weight before ordering. Hoping a family member will handle it for me.
Great sear, easy cleanup. Buy it.
My roommates and I use this constantly for quesadillas, burgers, and paninis. Survived months of being abused by four college guys and it still looks new. For the sale price it's a no-brainer.
The sear you get on steaks is legit — I've stopped going to the steakhouse as often. Docking one star because the pan is a beast to clean with a regular sponge; a stiff brush works much better. Preheat it properly and it performs beautifully.
I bought it for function but honestly the gradated red looks so nice I leave it hanging on my pot rack. Function follows though — the ridges give beautiful char and vegetables come out crisp-tender. Very pleased.
I own a big-name grill pan that cost three times as much and this one sears just as well. Even heating, nice deep ridges, comfortable handle. Highly recommend at $27.
Purchased mainly for sandwiches and it excels. The weight presses everything down perfectly and grill marks look professional. Takes a while to heat up but retains heat like a champ.
