Bought it mostly for bread baking and it delivers a gorgeous crust every single time at 450°F. It's also become my go-to for braised short ribs and Sunday chili. The self-basting lid actually works, I noticed drips on the interior that keep roasts moist. Seven quarts is generous, big enough for a whole chicken plus vegetables. The red enamel is beautiful enough to bring straight to the table.

Holds heat like a champ and cleanup is easy. The lid knob feels a little less sturdy than the rest of the pot, but at half off I can't complain much.

Cooks wonderfully, stews and braises come out great. Unfortunately the enamel chipped slightly when I accidentally knocked it against the stovetop. Still usable, just handle with care.
